Introduction and Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to Rishtawaala, an online matrimonial platform operated by Yuga Yatra Retail OPC Private Limited ('Company', 'We', 'Us', 'Our'). Rishtawaala is accessible at www.rishtawaala.com and via our mobile applications (collectively, the 'Platform').
By accessing, registering on, or using the Platform, you ("User", "You") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"), our Privacy Policy, and our Refund and Cancellation Policy. If you do not agree, you must immediately discontinue use of the Platform.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between You and the Company under the Indian Contract Act, 1872, the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and all other applicable Indian laws and regulations.
Eligibility
To register and use the Platform, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age or legal according to law (as verified through our KYC process);
- Be legally competent to enter into a contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872;
- Not have been previously suspended or removed from the Platform;
- Possess a valid phone number and email address in India or abroad;
- Use the Platform solely for the purpose of seeking a matrimonial alliance for yourself or an immediate family member with their consent.
We reserve the right to terminate accounts found to be operated by or for minors and to report such instances to the appropriate authorities.
Account Registration and Security
3.1 Registration
You agree to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information during registration and profile creation. Any false, misleading, or fraudulent information constitutes a material breach of these Terms.
3.2 Account Security
- Confidentiality: You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and OTP.
- Notification: You must immediately notify us at support@rishtawaala.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
- Liability: We shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account credentials.
3.3 One Account Per User
Each user is permitted to maintain only one active account. Duplicate accounts will be suspended. Accounts are non-transferable.
Platform Services and Subscription Plans
4.1 Service Description
Rishtawaala provides an online matrimonial matching service including profile creation, profile search, expression of interest, direct messaging (for eligible subscribers), horoscope matching, and profile verification features.
4.2 Subscription Plans
Access to certain features requires a paid subscription. All subscription plans, pricing, and features are displayed on the Platform and are subject to change with prior notice.

4.3 Payment Processing
All payments on the Platform are processed exclusively through Razorpay Software Private Limited ('Razorpay'), an RBI-authorised Payment Aggregator. By making a payment, you agree to Razorpay's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy available at https://razorpay.com.
Secure Payment Processing
We do NOT store your credit/debit card numbers, CVV codes, net banking credentials, or UPI PINs. All payment data is handled under Razorpay PCI-DSS Level 1 certified infrastructure in compliance with:
- RBI Master Directions for Payment Aggregators (2025)
- PCI DSS v4.0.1 (effective March 31, 2025)
- RBI Guidelines on Regulation of Payment Aggregators and Payment Gateways
- Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002
- Payment and Settlement Systems Act, 2007
User Obligations and Prohibited Conduct
5.1 User Obligations
You agree to:
- Use the Platform only for genuine matrimonial purposes;
- Keep your profile information accurate and updated;
- Treat all other users with respect and dignity;
- Comply with all applicable Indian laws and regulations;
- Promptly report any suspicious profiles, fraud, or abuse to support@rishtawaala.com.
5.2 Prohibited Conduct
You must NOT:
- Upload false, misleading, or stolen identity information;
- Harass, abuse, threaten, or intimidate any user;
- Solicit money from other users;
- Use the Platform for commercial solicitation, advertising, or multi-level marketing;
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy Platform content or databases;
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any Platform systems;
- Create multiple accounts or impersonate others;
- Share explicit, offensive, or obscene content.
Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate account suspension, forfeiture of any subscription fees, and/or legal action under applicable Indian laws.
User-Generated Content
You retain ownership of content you submit (photos, text, documents). By submitting content, you grant the Company a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, display, and distribute such content solely for the purpose of operating the Platform.
We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms, applicable law, or our community standards without prior notice.
Intellectual Property
All trademarks, logos, design elements, software, and Platform content (excluding User-Generated Content) are the exclusive intellectual property of Yuga Yatra Retail OPC Private Limited. Unauthorised reproduction, distribution, or use of Company IP is prohibited and constitutes an infringement actionable under the Trade Marks Act, 1999 and the Copyright Act, 1957.
Data Protection and Privacy
Your personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and in compliance with:
- Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act)
- Information Technology Act, 2000 and IT (Amendment) Act, 2008
- IT (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and SPDI) Rules, 2011
- Applicable RBI data localisation requirements (100% localisation for payment data)
Horoscope and caste information constitute Sensitive Personal Data or Information (SPDI) under applicable law and is collected only with your explicit consent.
Disclaimer of Warranties
Rishtawaala is a technology platform that facilitates introductions between potential matrimonial matches. The Company does NOT verify the accuracy of every piece of profile information submitted by users, except where a paid verification badge is displayed.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company's total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the total subscription fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.
The Company shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of data, loss of business, or emotional distress arising from use of the Platform.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
11.1 Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. The courts at Bangalore, Karnataka shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes.
11.2 Dispute Resolution
In the event of any dispute, the parties shall first attempt resolution through good-faith negotiations. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes may be referred to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, with a sole arbitrator appointed by mutual agreement, seated at Bangalore.
11.3 Consumer Disputes
Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020.
Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by email, SMS, or in-app notification at least 7 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

In accordance with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, the Information Technology Act, 2000, and RBI Payment Aggregator guidelines, we have appointed a Grievance Officer:
